A striking antique aneroid barometer in a richly carved dark wooden case, centred with a silvered dial and finished with a wonderfully dramatic lion head to the lower section. The scrolling surround, foliate detail and deep tone of the case give it a strong Black Forest style look, making it a great statement piece for a hallway, study, library or layered interior.
The dial is marked with the classic weather terms from Stormy through to Very Dry, and the exposed centre gives it that proper scientific-instrument feel as well as plenty of decorative appeal.
